Recently, the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China released the 2025 Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports. The Journal of Southern Medical University achieved a core total citation frequency of 1,920 and a core impact factor of 1.163. Its comprehensive evaluation score continues to rank first among journals of Chinese medical universities, marking the 12th consecutive year that the journal has secured the top position in its discipline.
