Finite element analysis of a new shape memory alloy cervical hook for atlantoaxial instability

摘要: 目的探讨寰枢椎不稳新型形态记忆合金颈椎夹钩内部材料力学特征,以指导临床合理使用。方法采用上颈椎尸体标本加载内固定,通过CT平扫数据建立计算机三维仿真模型,然后进行相应的力学加载运算。结果建立了完整的上颈椎内固定加载三维模型,计算出内固定在变形过程中其本身结构中各节点、单元的应力、应变情况。结论寰枢椎新型形态记忆合金颈椎夹钩的中部是安置后应力最集中的部位。承载点能产生237.58N的反力。颈椎夹钩固定牢固,是治疗寰枢椎不稳较好的新型颈椎夹钩器械。 

Abstract: The mechanics of a new shape memory alloy cervical hook for atlantoaxial instability was analyzed with finite element method on the basis of a three-dimensional model reconstructed from the images of CT scanning of an adult cadaveric upper cervical at 1-mm interval. The stress and displacement of every nodule and element in the course of deformation of the internal fixation were tested, and the results showed that the cervical hook was strong enough against tensile stress, which concentrates in the middle of the device. The pull was 237.58 N at the loading point. With such mechanical performance, this cervical hook can be reliable for correction of atlantoaxial instability.
